ITALIAN DRAMA IN THE NEW DOLCE&GABBANA CAMPAIGN

The strong identity of the Dolce & Gabbana brand evolved over years without forgetting its roots. An unmistakable style, combining strong innovation with Mediterranean flavor of its origins. A brand who's essence lies in its contrasting features. For their FW 2014 ad campaign, Domenico Dolce chose to press the shutter release himself. Again, with indisputable talent. Pictures present Monica Bellucci, Bianca Balti, Kate King and a new addition - Romanian model Andreea Diaconu, all fascinating and effervescent. Taormina, the small town on the east coast of Sicilly is, again, the shooting scene. It is the place where sacred and profane meet in Dolce & Gabbana's vision. The pictures reflects the Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2013 collection theme, a strong mix of art, history, religion and couture. The collection is an homage to the Sixties, to the Sicilian native heath and the byzantine herringbones from the Monreale Cathedral in Sicilly, which are found printed on Dolce & Gabbana's dresses.
As in all recent Dolce and Gabbana campaigns, the clothing takes second place. It's the lifestyle, the joie de vivre, the intimacy between the characters which speaks louder that any fashion statement.
